WELCOME ZOIEY, OUR 1ST ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER!
Ladies & gentlemen, friends, fans and future donors, let me begin by saying a MASSIVE THANKS to you all for supporting The Spartan Project!!!
Honestly, the squad and I have been absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm we’ve received, it really means the world to us.
From the outset we’ve been committed to the idea of working with great people that truly ‘walk the walk’. So it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of our first advisory board member, Zoiey Smale aka “The Mindful Maverick”.
A multi-award-winning leader in inclusion, innovation, and social impact, Zoiey brings over 20 years of experience driving transformative and systemic change across industries.
In fact Zoiey’s work as a global inclusion consultant has shaped initiatives for some of the world’s most iconic brands including: NASA, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, Spotify and Sport England to name a few.
Her influence in the sports industry is unparalleled, from redefining equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices with her pioneering concept of 'ethical disruption' to creating inclusive, gender-neutral apparel for athletes through the UK’s first fashion brand of its kind.
But don't take it just from me; Zoiey’s advocacy for meaningful change has earned her recognition from industry giants like Theo Paphitis and Jacqueline Gold CBE, as well as features on major platforms such as the BBC, ITV, NBC and Sky. In addition to her media presence, Zoiey's thought leadership has been amplified through publications in Huffington Post, Glamour and Cosmopolitan.
Grazia magazine even honoured her as one of the most influential Black British figures in 2017, recognising her tireless efforts to challenge harmful body image standards and inspire confidence in young women. Zoiey also serves on the board of BPSB, where she works to break down barriers for black professionals in sports broadcasting!
Zoiey’s motto, “If you can’t see it, be it,” aligns perfectly with The Spartan Project’s mission to empower youth to lead a life by their own design. Her expertise, vision, and unwavering commitment to amplifying diverse voices will undoubtedly help us drive our purpose forward.
As I hope you can tell, we are absolutely hyped to welcome Zoiey to the team I have zero doubt that her expertise and passion will boost everything that we’re trying to achieve at TSP :)
